Dan O'Flaherty, now in his early 60's, was born and raised in the Arlington - Falls Church area of metropolitan Washington, D.C. He attended American University's School of Business Administration with a real estate major. Dan was drafted in 1966 and spent several years both at Ft. Benning and the Pentagon. Licensed as a Realtor in 1962 while in college, he quickly became a top residential agent and with time out to serve his country has been active in real estate his whole adult life. At age 26 he purchased an existing Falls Church, Va. real estate company Mary Price Realtor which grew into one of the larger independent real estate operations and after 17 years Dan sold it to a national NYSE company and moved to Florida. In Virginia, Dan served as a Director of his local and state Realtor Associations, was a director of both First Commercial Bank of Arlington and NVAR Federal Credit Union as well as built homes all over Arlington and Fairfax Counties. Coming to Florida in 1989, Dan worked at Coldwell Banker before joining ReMax Partners in May 1993. Dan's volunteer work in the real estate community was recognized by his peers in his receiving the Distinguished Service Award in 1996 of which he is particularly proud. Dan is a member of Hall of Fame and a recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award. Dan has lived in Coral Ridge Country Club since 1989. John O'Flaherty, now in his early 30's, was born and raised in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area graduating from St. James School in Hagerstown, Md. And James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where he was president of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. John completed the management training program at John Hancock Life Insurance, studied for his security licenses, and while enjoying that end of the business world, decided to move to Florida and work with his Father, Dan. After several years of working alongside and training with his Dad, and taking much off site real estate course work, John is now a full partner with his Father Dan at Keller Williams Realty Professionals. John is a member of both the high achievement Platinum Club and Chairman's Club and was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame. He is also active in several Ft. Lauderdale organizations including the Humane Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. John is pleased to have purchased an old Coral Ridge Country Club home he is working hard to make a 21st century showplace. While John's history is shorter, (hey, he's younger!) he is one of the top sales agents in Fort Lauderdale and consistently places in the top 10 local teams and top statewide teams. For Dan and John O'Flaherty, real estate is not a "new" career or a "second" career.
